Terms of service
A read-only review tool with a narrow role. The merchant verifies every case and owns every action in Shopify.
Return Owl observes supported Shopify records and surfaces discrepancies for merchant review. It never mutates orders, returns, refunds, transactions, or inventory in your store.
Service
Return Owl reads supported Shopify records and presents evidence-based cases that may deserve merchant review. It does not change orders, returns, refunds, transactions or inventory. The merchant is responsible for verifying every case and deciding any action in Shopify or another authoritative system.
Eligibility and account responsibility
The installer must be authorised to act for the Shopify store and approve any Shopify-presented charge. Merchants are responsible for their Shopify account, staff access, lawful use and accurate support information.
Plans, charges and limits
Available plan figures are published from Return Owl's validated product catalog. Actual subscription state, trial information, invoices, cancellation and charges are presented and administered through Shopify app pricing. Plan limits apply as described on the pricing page; crossing a hard cap does not delete existing evidence or recipients.
No financial or fraud determination
A case is an observed record pattern plus uncertainty. It is not proof of fraud, loss, accounting error, customer wrongdoing, inventory state or money recovered.
Return Owl is not accounting, tax, legal, payment-processing or fraud investigation advice. Source records may be delayed, incomplete, revised, or interpreted differently under a merchant's policies and external systems.
Acceptable use
Merchants must not attempt unauthorised access, disrupt the service, misuse evidence to make unsupported accusations, send third-party secrets to the support address or contact form, or use Return Owl contrary to Shopify terms or applicable law.
Availability and support
The product publishes no uptime or service-level promise on this site. Support is reached at the published address and is reviewed as operating capacity allows. Security, privacy and access concerns are prioritised.
Merchant data and ownership
Merchants retain ownership of their store information. These terms do not transfer ownership of Return Owl software, design or branding. The limited right to use the service ends when access or an applicable subscription ends.
Warranty and liability boundary
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
Termination and data handling
A merchant may stop using the service through Shopify cancellation and uninstall. Access may be suspended for security threats, unlawful activity, non-payment or material breach. Data is then handled under the privacy policy and Shopify's mandatory privacy callbacks.
